This Privacy Policy describes how 1080 Ventures, LLC d/b/a Commonly (“Commonly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information of users (“you,” “your”) of our website joincommonly.com and related services (the “Platform”).

1. What Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide to Us
When you join a group deal on our Platform, we collect:
- Contact Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and street address
- Referral Data: Referral codes and information about who referred you or whom you referred
- Marketing Data: UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign) if you arrived via a marketing link as well as tracking for advertising purposes
- Communication Data: Messages you send us through our contact form
When you sign up for deal notifications on a neighborhood page, we collect:
- Contact Information: Your email address, and optionally your phone number, name, and street address
- Neighborhood Interests: Which neighborhoods you want to receive deal notifications for
- Communication Preferences: Your consent choices for email and SMS communications, including timestamps of when consent was given
B. Information We Collect Automatically
We use Microsoft Clarity for analytics, which collects:
- Aggregated and behavioral data such as page visits, scrolling, clicks, mouse movement, session duration and engagement
- Device type, browser type, screen resolution, and session interactions
- This data helps us understand how visitors use the Platform and improve our website and user experience
We also use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. Vercel Web Analytics is designed to be privacy-focused and does not use cookies or collect personal identifiers that can identify or re-identify individual users across applications. Data collected by Vercel Web Analytics is anonymous and aggregated only and may include information such as page views, referrer information, browser and device type, country-level geolocation, timestamp, and URL path. No personal information or persistent identifiers are stored. Vercel Web Analytics data is retained only for aggregated reporting and cannot be used to reconstruct individual user behavior. We use advertising and tracking technologies on our site, including Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, and (when enabled) Google Ads conversion tracking. These technologies may collect information about your activity on the Platform, such as pages viewed, time spent on site, interaction events, device and browser data, referrer URLs, and conversion events. Some of these technologies use cookies or similar identifiers to recognize your device and enable measurement of advertising performance, including for targeted advertising. 2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Coordinate group deals and connect you with vetted service providers
- Send you transactional emails about deal status (confirmations, lock-in notifications, scheduling updates)
- Track referrals and calculate referral discounts
- Advertising and tracking partners, to support advertising delivery, conversion measurement, and reporting
- Send you notifications about new deals in neighborhoods you've expressed interest in (with your consent)
- Send you SMS messages about deals (only with your explicit opt-in consent)
- Communicate with you about your participation in deals
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Analyze website usage and improve our Platform
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with:
- Service Providers: We share your contact information and address with the independent service provider for your deal so they can perform the contracted services
- Email Service: We use Resend to send transactional emails
- Analytics Providers: Microsoft Clarity and Vercel Web Analytics process behavioral data as described in Section 1B
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Retention
Your deal participation data (name, email, phone, address) is stored in our database hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We retain this information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Analytics data is stored via Microsoft's cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure). Microsoft Clarity indicates that session data may be retained up to 30 days or longer depending on project settings.
Because we use global service providers, some data may be transferred to servers located in the United States or other jurisdictions. You acknowledge and consent to such transfers.
5. Your Choices and Controls
You have the following rights and choices:
- Access and Update: You may contact us to access or update your personal information
- Email Communications: You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. Transactional emails about your active deals will continue.
- SMS Communications: You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us.
- Analytics Cookies: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. In regions requiring consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland), you may decline analytics tracking
- Data Deletion: You may request deletion of your data, subject to our legal and operational requirements
- Ad Preferences: You can control and manage the use of cookies and similar tracking technologies through your browser settings and third-party opt-out tools. For Google-related advertising, you can visit Google’s Ads Settings to opt out of interest-based advertising. For Meta-related tracking, you can visit Meta’s ad preferences tools to manage how your data is used for advertising.
Because Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and only collects anonymous aggregated data, blocking cookies will not impact that tracking.

We do engage in targeted advertising via Meta Pixel and (when enabled) Google Ads, which use cookies and similar identifiers to measure ad performance and remarket to visitors.
Opting out of targeted advertising
You have several ways to opt out:
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): our site automatically reads this browser signal and, when present, disables ad-related data sharing in Google Analytics and enables Meta's Limited Data Use flag. GPC is built into Brave and DuckDuckGo, and can be enabled in Firefox via

Maryland Residents' Rights (MODPA)
Under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, Maryland residents have the right to confirm whether we process their personal data and access it, correct inaccuracies, delete their data, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and profiling with significant effects.

6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure database access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
