This Privacy Policy describes how 1080 Ventures, LLC d/b/a Commonly (“Commonly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information of users (“you,” “your”) of our website joincommonly.com and related services (the “Platform”).

1. What Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide to Us

When you join a group deal on our Platform, we collect:

  • Contact Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and street address
  • Referral Data: Referral codes and information about who referred you or whom you referred
  • Marketing Data: UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign) if you arrived via a marketing link as well as tracking for advertising purposes
  • Communication Data: Messages you send us through our contact form

B. Information We Collect Automatically

We use Microsoft Clarity for analytics, which collects:

  • Aggregated and behavioral data such as page visits, scrolling, clicks, mouse movement, session duration and engagement
  • Device type, browser type, screen resolution, and session interactions
  • This data helps us understand how visitors use the Platform and improve our website and user experience

We also use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. Vercel Web Analytics is designed to be privacy-focused and does not use cookies or collect personal identifiers that can identify or re-identify individual users across applications. Data collected by Vercel Web Analytics is anonymous and aggregated only and may include information such as page views, referrer information, browser and device type, country-level geolocation, timestamp, and URL path. No personal information or persistent identifiers are stored. Vercel Web Analytics data is retained only for aggregated reporting and cannot be used to reconstruct individual user behavior. For more details, see Vercel's Privacy Policy

We use advertising and tracking technologies on our site, including Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and Google Ads conversion tracking. These technologies may collect information about your activity on the Platform, such as pages viewed, time spent on site, interaction events, device and browser data, referrer URLs, and conversion events. Some of these technologies may use cookies or similar identifiers to recognize your device and enable measurement of advertising performance.

For details on how these services collect and process data, see:

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Coordinate group deals and connect you with vetted service providers
  • Send you transactional emails about deal status (confirmations, lock-in notifications, scheduling updates)
  • Track referrals and calculate referral discounts
  • Advertising and tracking partners, to support advertising delivery, conversion measurement, and reporting
  • Communicate with you about your participation in deals
  • Respond to your inquiries and support requests
  • Analyze website usage and improve our Platform
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: We share your contact information and address with the independent service provider for your deal so they can perform the contracted services
  • Email Service: We use Resend to send transactional emails
  • Analytics Providers: Microsoft Clarity and Vercel Web Analytics process behavioral data as described in Section 1B
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Your deal participation data (name, email, phone, address) is stored in our database hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We retain this information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Analytics data is stored via Microsoft's cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure). Microsoft Clarity indicates that session data may be retained up to 30 days or longer depending on project settings.

Because we use global service providers, some data may be transferred to servers located in the United States or other jurisdictions. You acknowledge and consent to such transfers.

5. Your Choices and Controls

You have the following rights and choices:

  • Access and Update: You may contact us to access or update your personal information
  • Email Communications: You can opt out of marketing emails at any time (transactional emails about your deals will continue)
  • Analytics Cookies: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. In regions requiring consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland), you may decline analytics tracking
  • Data Deletion: You may request deletion of your data, subject to our legal and operational requirements
  • Ad Preferences: You can control and manage the use of cookies and similar tracking technologies through your browser settings and third-party opt-out tools. For Google-related advertising, you can visit Google’s Ads Settings to opt out of interest-based advertising. For Meta-related tracking, you can visit Meta’s ad preferences tools to manage how your data is used for advertising.

Google Tag Manager itself does not independently collect personal data or set marketing cookies. It serves as a container to manage and deploy other tags (such as analytics and advertising tags) on our site. The data collection associated with tags deployed via Google Tag Manager is governed by the individual technologies and their privacy notices.

Because Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and only collects anonymous aggregated data, blocking cookies will not impact that tracking.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure database access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
